The Journal of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (JGCEE) uses Crossmark to provide readers with transparent information about the current status of published articles and any significant post-publication changes. Crossmark enables readers to verify whether the content they are reading represents the current Version of Record (VoR) and to access information about relevant updates, corrections, retractions, or other editorial actions.

01

Post-Publication Changes

The journal maintains the integrity of the scholarly record by distinguishing between minor editorial changes and substantive post-publication updates.

● Minor Editorial Change

Typographical & Formatting Errors

Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect the scientific meaning, results, or conclusions may be corrected without issuing a formal notice.

● Formal Editorial Notice

Correction or Erratum

Substantive errors that may affect the accuracy or interpretation of an article will be addressed through a formal Correction or Erratum notice. The notice will identify the affected article, describe the correction, and be linked to the original publication through its DOI.

02

Retraction

● Retraction

An article may be retracted when its findings or publication record are determined to be unreliable or when serious research or publication misconduct is identified. Reasons for retraction may include, but are not limited to, fabricated or falsified data, plagiarism, duplicate publication, major methodological errors, or other circumstances that substantially compromise the integrity of the article. A retracted article will normally remain available as part of the scholarly record but will be clearly identified as Retracted, with a link to the corresponding retraction notice.

03

Expression of Concern

● Editorial Notice

When serious concerns arise regarding the reliability or integrity of a published article but the available evidence is insufficient to issue a correction or retraction, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern. The notice will be linked to the affected article and its DOI and will be updated when the matter is resolved.

04

Article Status, DOI & Version of Record

Version of Record (VoR)

The published Version of Record is considered the authoritative version of an article. The journal will not silently make substantive changes that could alter the scientific interpretation of published content.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI)

Each published article is assigned a persistent Digital Object Identifier (DOI). The DOI serves as a permanent identifier and provides a stable link to the published article and its publication history.

Crossmark Information

Where applicable, the Crossmark logo displayed on the article webpage or PDF provides access to the article's current status and relevant post-publication information.

Link Verification

The DOI and Crossmark information should be checked regularly by the journal to ensure that links remain valid and accurately reflect the current publication status.
