All published research must demonstrate academic honesty, accurate reporting, and scientific validity.

Authors are required to disclose funding sources, conflicts of interest, and the use of AI-assisted tools.

Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, originality, and relevance to the journal scope.

Editor Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, objective, confidential, and timely peer-review process. Editorial decisions must be made independently and based exclusively on the scientific merit and relevance of submitted manuscripts.

  • Evaluate manuscripts objectively without discrimination based on nationality, gender, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.
  • Ensure that peer review is conducted ethically, transparently, and free from bias.
  • Avoid handling manuscripts where conflicts of interest may exist.
  • Take reasonable action when ethical complaints or misconduct allegations arise.
  • Safeguard the integrity of the scholarly record through corrections, clarifications, or retractions when necessary.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Peer reviewers play a vital role in assisting editors in making editorial decisions and improving manuscript quality through constructive academic feedback.

  • Provide objective, evidence-based, and constructive evaluations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and not share manuscript content with third parties.
  • Identify relevant published work not cited by authors.
  • Report suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation.
  • Complete reviews within the agreed review timeline.

Author Responsibilities

Authors submitting manuscripts to JGCEE must ensure that their work is original, scientifically accurate, and ethically conducted.

  • Submit only original and unpublished work.
  • Avoid plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, and duplicate publication.
  • Ensure accurate presentation of methods, data, and findings.
  • Properly acknowledge the work of others through citation and referencing.
  • Disclose funding information and any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Obtain ethical clearance where human participants, animals, or sensitive data are involved.
  • Promptly notify the editor if significant errors are discovered after publication.

AI & Generative Tools Policy

JGCEE recognizes the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) and generative tools in scholarly communication. The journal permits the limited use of AI-assisted technologies under transparent and ethical conditions.

  • AI tools may be used for language improvement, grammar correction, or readability enhancement.
  • Authors must disclose the use of AI-assisted tools within the manuscript acknowledgment or methodology section.
  • AI systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot take responsibility for the work.
  • Authors remain fully accountable for the originality, accuracy, and integrity of submitted content.
  • AI-generated images, data, or text must not misrepresent scientific findings.

Publication Malpractice & Ethical Violations

The journal takes allegations of publication misconduct seriously and follows established ethical procedures to investigate potential violations.

Investigation

Ethical concerns are reviewed according to COPE guidelines and editorial policies.

Corrective Action
