Peer Review Policy
All manuscripts submitted to Journal of Economics and Management Technologies (JEMTECH) undergo a structured peer review process to assess their quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution to scholarship in economics, management, technology, and related interdisciplinary fields. JEMTECH applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process to promote objectivity, fairness, and independent academic evaluation.
- Initial Editorial Screening
Each submission is initially assessed for relevance to the journal's focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, basic academic quality, completeness of submission, and adherence to publication-ethics requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet essential requirements may be declined at this stage.
- Plagiarism and Similarity Check
Manuscripts are screened using appropriate plagiarism or similarity-detection tools. Submissions showing substantial inappropriate similarity may be returned to the authors for clarification or revision, or may be rejected when the similarity indicates serious publication-ethics concerns.
- Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers are selected based on subject expertise, academic qualifications, scholarly experience, and the absence of relevant conflicts of interest.
- Peer Review Process
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript according to criteria appropriate to its subject and research design, including:
- Originality, relevance, and scholarly contribution;
- Clarity of research objectives and theoretical framework;
- Appropriateness and rigor of methodology;
- Validity of data, analysis, and interpretation;
- Clarity and coherence of results and discussion;
- Quality of presentation, references, and academic writing;
- Compliance with relevant research and publication-ethics principles.
Reviewers provide recommendations such as: Accept Minor Revision Major Revision Reject
- Editorial Decision
The Editor makes the editorial decision based on the reviewers' reports, the manuscript's academic merit, and the journal's publication standards. Where necessary, a manuscript may undergo more than one round of review and revision.
- Revision by Authors
Authors are expected to address reviewers' comments carefully and submit a revised manuscript together with a clear response to reviewers explaining how each substantive comment has been addressed.
- Final Decision and Production
Once a manuscript is accepted, it proceeds to the relevant production stages, including copyediting, layout editing, proofreading, and final publication preparation.
The typical peer review cycle takes approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability, manuscript complexity, and the responsiveness of authors during the revision process. This timeframe is indicative rather than a guarantee, as individual manuscripts may require additional review rounds or editorial assessment.
-
All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents and should not be disclosed or used for purposes unrelated to the review process.
-
Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, constructively, and independently, while avoiding personal, institutional, financial, or other conflicts of interest.
-
Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript's academic merit, relevance, methodological quality, originality, and compliance with publication standards, rather than the authors' nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or other non-academic characteristics.
-
Reviewers and editors should not use unpublished information obtained through the review process for personal or professional advantage and should maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and related review materials.
Through this peer review system, JEMTECH is committed to maintaining a scholarly evaluation process that supports academic quality, fairness, transparency, originality, and publication integrity across research in economics, management, technologies, and related interdisciplinary areas.
